Harry R. “Largo” Pearson, 74, died Aug. 27, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby.

He was born July 10, 1935 in La Junta, Colo., the son of Charles “Pinky” Edward Pearson and Orelia Elizabeth Pearson (Skinner). He grew up in Raton, N.M., and after graduating high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy and later spent time in the Coast Guard.

Following retirement from the railroad in 1991, he and wife, Geri, moved to Bull Lake. He continued serving his community as a Bull Lake volunteer firefighter and later as a board member.

Mr. Pearson enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing, jeeping, boating, firefighting and relaxing by the lake with his wife while enjoying a few beers with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Geri Pearson; sons, Jay Adams and Mitch Pearson; and daughters, Billy Sue and Roxy.

Private family services are being held.
