Dorothy M. Richey

Dorothy Mae Morrison Richey, 74, died Aug. 30, 2009 at her home built by her dad at Savage Lake.

She was born Oct. 30, 1934 in St. Paul, Minn. to Robert and Evelyn Morrison.

She loved singing and playing her guitar for church, funerals and weddings – including her granddaughter, Angie’s wedding. She loved living at Savage Lake and watching the birds and wildlife.  She also enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and biking, God, family and friends and gatherings at her home.

She is survived by husband, Elmore Richey; two sons, Kelvin Richey of Savage Lake; and Ken Richey and wife Joanne of Priest River, Idaho; a daughter, Colleen Johnson and husband Don of Missoula; grandchildren, Kaleb, Christy, Merry and Angela; great-grandchildren Donald, Maellen, Tyler, Genevi, Xavier, Alex and Bjorn; sister-in-law, Sue Noble; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Kootenai Chapel in Troy. Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Libby handled arrangements.
