Sports Update: Loggers pull away to beat Lethbridge

The Libby High School football team came back from an early 14-0 deficit to defeat Lethbridge, 40-14, on Friday night.

The Loggers trailed by two touchdowns in the first quarter but settled down to take control. Micah Germany, making his first start at quarterback after Kelly May went down last week with an injury, got Libby on the scoreboard with a 25-yard TD pass to Kody Berget. Germany threw for two more TD passes in the second half – one to T.J. Benson and the other to Robin Keyes. He also scored himself on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Germany completed 20-of-33 passes for 310 yards. Benson caught seven passes for 144 yards, Berget and Alex Cislo each had four receptions for 60 and 49 yards, respectively. Germany was the team's top ground gainer with 50 yards on 13 carries.
