Ronald James Greenwood

Ronald James Greenwood, 58, of Canby, Ore., died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at his home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Slough, England, to James and Edith Greenwood.

In the early 1980s, he moved to the United States and worked for the Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C. He later worked for Asarco mine near Troy with a residence in Libby until 1994.

On July 14, 1993, he married Kerry Diveley. They moved to Oregon where he worked at Tektronix and later as a printer auditor for Xerox.

An avid sports fan, his favorite teams included the Sunderland soccer team, Minnesota Vikings, Montana Grizzlies and the Oregon Ducks. He enjoyed a good game of darts and was a member of American Legion Post No. 122 in Canby.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Anne Romine; stepsons, Brian and Ben Diveley; sister, Sheila Merriman; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Oct. 4, at American Legion Post No. 122.
