Dorothy M. Border, 81, of Libby died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

She was born July 22, 1928 in Detroit, Mich., to Joseph and Wanda Wezensky Belesky. She grew up and attended school in Detroit. She graduated from St. Anne’s High School with the class of 1945. She had worked as a manicurist and a caregiver.

She enjoyed polka dancing, caring for the elderly, picnicking and swimming. 

Survivors include her children, Annette Chain an husband Lawrence of Troy; Joseph Demski of Libby; Richard Demski of Libby; Thomas Demski and wife Bessie of Michigan; and Phyllis Bassett of Georgia; a brother, Joseph Belesky and wife Helen of South Carolina; sisters, Wanda Leabu and husband Virgil of Michigan; and Catherine Belesky of Michigan; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at Troy Christian Fellowship Church.

Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
