Volleyball: Troy takes down Misson in 4 games

The Troy High School volleyball team went on the road Friday for an impressive victory in four games over Mission.

Kristin Parks and Ashley Paasch had their games going in high gear during a 17-25, 31-29, 25-6, 25-10 victory.

After falling in the opening game, Troy countered in the second game to win a marathon. The Trojans then went in for the kill and dominated in games three and four.

Parks hit for 19 kills and had four blocks while Paasch finished with nine digs and eight ace serves. Alyssa Olds had 34 set assists.

Troy followed on Saturday with a home loss in five games to an exceptional squad from Stillwater Christian. The Cougars took the victory, 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 24-26, 15-10.

Paasch topped Troy’s kill leaders with 14 to go along with five ace serves. Olds had 29 assists, Kimmy Klin finished with 13 digs and Parks had a pair of blocks.

Troy (3-5 in conference, 5-8 overall) heads to Thompson Falls on Thursday and Stillwater Christian on Friday before coming home to face Bigfork on Saturday.
