The Brush Creek/Tally Lake Road No. 113 has been temporarily closed at approximately milepost 6.5 due to a washout, the U.S. Forest Service announced on Tuesday.

The Kootenai National Forest placed signs and markers to alert the public at the junction of the Wolf Creek Road and also placed barricades at the washout.

The Flathead National Forest placed signs and barricades at the Brush Creek summit.

Forest Service officials believe that the work to repair the washout will take about two to three weeks to complete. Users will be notified when the repairs are completed and the road is open to the public.
