Loyola Sacred Heart scored 12 runs over the first three innings in an 18-4 victory on Saturday over Troy.

The Lady Trojans had a good first inning with three runs in the bottom of the first but the Breakers had already put a five-spot up in the top half of the inning. In the second, Sacred Heart added three more and then in the third, four more to build an insurmountable lead.

Rachel Garcia went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead Troy offensively. Alyssa Olds, Megan Cummings and Dolly Blata also collected hits.

Troy’s battery of Alicia Anderson and Kimmy Klin went the distance.

Troy dropped to 4-12 in the league, 4-15 overall.
