The Troy High School softball team saw an early lead slip away in the first game and then couldn’t battle back all the way in the second game in losses of 8-5 and 14-8 to Drummond on Tuesday.

In the first game, the Lady Trojans led 1-0 through one inning and were down only by two heading into the seventh. Drummond’s four runs over the final three innings were enough to get the job done.

Ashley Paasch went 2-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Alicia Anderson also went 2-for-4 with a triple and scored one run. And Kimmy Klin went 1-for-5 with one run scored.

In the second game, Drummond led 12-2 at one point before the Lady Trojans staged a rally. In the fourth, Troy pushed five runs across to close the gap.

Megan Cummings led with a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored and two RBIs. Michelle Pillans went 2-for-4 with one run. Anderson, Klin, Paasch and Dolly Blata also had hits.

Anderson was the pitcher of record in both games.
