Golf Tournaments: Kambel, Graham upcoming
Kambel Scrambel
The fifth annual Kambel Scrambel golf tournament in Libby is seeking entrants for its June 27 event at Cabinet View Country Club.
The annual golf tournament is held in memory of Gregory Paul Kambel with all proceeds going to Libby High School seniors. Last year, the scholarship fund awarded $3,000 in scholarships.
The entry fee is $40 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, T-shirt, tee prize, poker run and lasagna dinner. Organizers recommend early registration.
The tournament begins on Saturday, June 27 with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. On the previous day, final registration runs from 4-5:30 p.m. followed by a derby.

Ben Graham Memorial
The 2009 Ben Graham Memorial Tournament is scheduled for May 16-17 at Cabinet View Country Club in Libby.
The tournament opens with an optional practice round on Friday, May 15 with a derby to follow at 6 p.m. Tee times for Saturday’s round begin at 8 a.m. Players can arrange their own groups and tee times by calling or signing up at the golf course.
The tournament includes a dinner on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. followed by a live auction.
Tee times for the final round on Sunday begin at 8 a.m. Playing groups will be determined by players’ scores and flights from Saturday.
The entry fee is $50 for members, $70 for non-members. The payout will be based on the number of entrants. Saturday’s play includes a closest-to-the-pin prize.
Tournament organizers announced that it will offer a Logger Legends award for the lowest former male and female Logger golfers.
Graham was a 1973 graduate of Libby High School and an NCAA All-America golfer at Cal State.
Proceeds from the tournament help fund high school and youth golf in Libby.
