Tamie C. Heath

Tamie C. Heath, 50, died from heart failure on Friday, May 1 at her home in Spokane, Wash.

She was born April 2, 1959, in Augusta, Ga., to Clair and Donna Christensen. She attended school in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where she played on the high school tennis team. After graduation, she married Brent Heath on Sept. 12, 1977.

The couple moved to Libby where she lived for 29 years and had three children. She volunteered at the schools, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as a soccer coach. Her employment included jobs at Ben Franklin, Libby Public Schools, Helen’s Candies and at a secondhand store. Most recently, she worked in Garland at a secondhand store operated by the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Heath was a 10-year survivor of breast cancer. She loved animals and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Brent, and sons, Darryl, Kevin and Courtney – all of Spokane; her mother, Donna Christensen of Libby; brother, Kevin and wife Mary Christensen of Libby; and brother, Marty and wife Lorene Christensen of Castle Rock, Wash.

Services were scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Spokane Cremation and Burial, 2832 N. Ruby.
