LHS boys open season with wins

The Libby High School tennis team opened the regular season on Saturday with home matchups against Bigfork, Mission and Eureka.
In boys’ action, the Loggers defeated Bigfork, 6-1, and Mission, 4-3.
Alex Cislo, Cree Maloney and Nate Broden each won both of their singles matches. Hunter Sheffield took a victory over his Bigfork opponent. In doubles, Jesse Ramos and Lewis Brossman won both of their matches.
On the girls’ side, Libby dropped duals to Bigfork, 4-0, and Mission, 2-0. The Lady Loggers won two of three matches against Eureka. Victories were recorded by Anna Valentine and Chelsey Oedewaldt in singles matches.
Libby will head to Polson for duals against the Pirates at 10 a.m. and Hamilton at
1 p.m.
