Letter: Snowmobilers, family thankful for rescuers

| March 19, 2009 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

This letter is to express our sincere thanks to the dedication and hard work of the men and women of the Search and Rescue of Lincoln County.

They were willing to go out in the mountains on a cold and snowy night on Saturday looking for my son and  his friend who was lost.

One of the men from the team stayed out all night riding Sheep Range Road in case they came out there. He made a fire in case they could see it.

Thanks to Eureka Search and Rescue who came down to Libby to help with the search. Thanks to the Air Force helicopter who joined in the search Sunday and flew the men out.

The Libby Search and Rescue never gave up. They were ready to go out again Sunday morning and found the men at China Creek.

It is their courage and dedication that we can be proud of as residents of Lincoln County.
