Mee, Martin make all-conference 1st team

The dangerous duo of Jackie Mee and Brittany Martin drew plenty of attention on the court for the Libby High School girls basketball team this past season. And now, the Lady Logger players are garnering attention off the court as well.

Both Mee and Martin were recently named to the all-conference first team. Mee also earned all-state honors. Jaime Gilden made all-conference, second team.

Mee, junior, put together impressive numbers on the court despite drawing a lot of defensive pressure from opposing defenses. In 20 games this season, Mee averaged 18.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. She shot 43.9 percent from the field and drilled 36 3-pointers. In addition, Mee had 24 blocks, 25 steals, 22 assists and shot 78.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Martin, senior, also averaged in double figures with 11.1 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds per game. Martin led the team in steals with 72, assists with 76 and 3-pointers with 37.

Gilden, sophomore, had averages of 7.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Gilden also had 13 blocks, 68 steals and 58 assists.
