County offers reminder about no open burning

The Lincoln  County Environmental Health Department issued a reminder on Friday to Libby residents that open burning is prohibited until April 1.

Lori Kelley-Bowe said permits for residential yard cleanup burns are available free of charge. Residents may also call to ask that a permit be sent through the mail.

Kelley-Bowe said residents may want to consider taking yard waste to the landfill – which is free.

For those who see anyone burning limbs, garbage, etc., call 293-7781, ext. 344.
