Andrew L. 'Bud' Campbell

Andrew L. “Bud” Campbell, 66, of Troy died from natural causes on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby.

He was born June 13, 1942 in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Carl and Edith Koontz Campbell.  He spent the first 11 years of his life in Wyoming. His family then moved to Jordan, Mont., where he lived for three years before moving to Troy.

Mr. Campbell worked as a long haul trucker and a logging truck driver for a number of years. During the 1960s and 1970s, he worked as a core driller. He later went to drilling wells.  Most recently, he owned and operated a mechanic and welding shop with his brother, Pete, called Campbell’s Shop. 

Survivors include his two daughters, Robbee Miller of Libby; and Cassie Johnson of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren, Anthony and Adrianna; two brothers, Pete Campbell and wife Frances of Troy; and Art Olds and wife Carolyn of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Services will be Monday, March 16 at 3 p.m. at the Troy Senior Center. Schnackenberg and Nelson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
