Grizzly bear committee plans meeting in Libby
The Cabinet-Yaak Grizzly Bear Citizen Committee is planning to meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the Venture Inn in Libby.
Organizers announced that it will not be a dinner meeting, therefore, those who want to eat can arrive early to dine upstairs.
Among the items on the agenda is an update from Kim Annis, bear management specialist and a presentation on a grizzly bear public opinion survey.
Flathead’s office closed on afternoon of March 12
Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Libby office announced that it will be closed from noon-5 p.m. on Thursday, March 12.
Office personnel will be attending a training session.

‘The Sunshine Vitamin’ program set for Tuesday
The Libby Diabetes Awareness and Support Group and St. John’s Lutheran Hospital are co-sponsoring a program by registered dietitian Nicole Kapan on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby.
Kapan’s program is entitled “Vitamin D: The Sunshine Vitamin.”

VA rep to visit Troy, Libby on March 9
A representative of the Montana Veterans Affairs Division out of Kalispell will be at Kootenai Senior Center in Troy and Libby Senior Citizens Center on Monday, March 9.
Sherry Stewart, service officer, will be in Troy from 11 a.m.-noon and in Libby from 1:30-4 p.m. She will be available to assist veterans and their dependents that have questions regarding benefits.

Kootenai Valley Christian School sets signup dates
The Kootenai Valley Christian School in Libby announced registration dates for preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten.
• Wednesday, March 18, 9-11 a.m. – 4-year-olds and pre-K.
• Thursday, March 19, 9-11 a.m. – 3-year-olds and preschoolers.
• Thursday, March 19, Noon-3:15 p.m. – Kindergarteners.
