Jennifer K. Smith

Jennifer K. Smith, 37, of Troy died Friday June 11, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born March 26, 1972 in Yankton, S.D. Her early years were spent in Oregon. At age of 11, her family moved to South Dakota. Two years later they moved to Troy. She graduated from the eighth grade at the McCormick School. She then attended Troy High School through the 11th grade. She earned an associate’s degree in psychology from Flathead Valley Community College.

She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, making arrangements out of pressed flowers and crocheting. She also emphasized importance for her children as well as religion. Scott Bushnell was a special friend at the time of her death.

Survivors include her children, Heather, Zach and Daniel – all of Libby; and Paul of Troy; mother, Lory Garrison of Troy; brothers, Hawk Powell of Troy; Levi Powell of Libby; Noah Powel of Cortaro, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for Friday June 19 at 6:30 p.m., at the Troy Church of God in Troy.
