A winning $70,000 Montana Lottery ticket purchased in Libby has been claimed.

Wanda Hill of Libby won the Montana Cash jackpot in the May 23 drawing.

Husband Jim Hill bought the ticket at Rosauers for his wife. But it wasn’t until three days later that Wanda’s sister, Aletta, called to see if the tickets had been purchased.

“Aletta asked me if I bought a Montana Cash ticket, and I told her yes,” Wanda said. “Then she read the numbers to me over the phone.”

Her husband wasn’t home when she realized they had the winning ticket.

“I had a surprise for him,” she said.

The couple plans to buy a newer vehicle with their winnings.
