Letter: Moving service on Memorial Day

Dear Editor:

What a perfect day it was for the Memorial Day services paying our respects to the men and women who fought and died to protect our freedom and who are still doing so around the world.

As usual, it was a very brief and moving service and when they play “Taps,” it brings tears to your eyes and makes you especially glad you were there to pay your respects.

The attendance was great – at least twice as many as last year. Let’s try to make it even bigger next year.
