Letter: Senator shows wisdom, courage

Dear Editor:

 Thanks to Sen. Jon Tester for having the wisdom and courage to support and sponsor legislation including the Three Rivers Challenge that will provide jobs for local logging in the Yaak-Troy-Libby areas, provide for ongoing recreational use and specify wilderness designation for portions of the Yaak as well.

The Yaak Valley Forest Council and so many other courageous partners in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge and Seeley-Swan areas have accomplished an amazing feat by bringing these three initiatives together while working with the U.S. Forest Service to create this breakthrough legislation.

I am grateful for those who have chosen to stop bickering about the future and have instead chosen to build for the future. Thanks to you all for your efforts at community building and collaboration.
