Schikora wins divisional title in drama

The Libby High School drama team placed second at last weekend’s divisionals meet at Ronan.

The Loggers’ Jason Schikora was the lone first-place finisher for the locals. Schikora won in the Humorous Solo division.

Kammi McClain and Andi Moog took second in Classical Duo. Jolee Holder and Justin Lauer were second in Humorous Solo. Stormy Naylor and John Vinion placed third in Serious Duo. Stormy Miller took third in Serious Solo.

Others who placed included Cassi Moog and Stephanie Parsons in Humorous Duo (fourth), Elizabeth Rogers and Mike Wise in Serious Duo (fifth), Melinda Elgin and Brandi Mirador in Serious Duo (sixth) and Miranda Raab in Serious Solo (fourth).

Polson won divisionals with Libby second, Bigfork third and Ronan fourth. Besides Schikora, other winners were Rebecca Grant and Misty Futrell of Polson in Classical Duo; Jerry Gaiser and Jacob Sefeak of Bigfork in Humorous Duo; Logan Garcia and John Bishop of Polson in Serious Duo; and Molly Ricketts of Polson in Serious Solo.

Libby’s drama competitors now turn their attention to state, which runs Friday and Saturday at Montana Tech in Butte.
