Sno-Kats Fun Run scheduled for Feb. 7

The Lincoln County Sno-Kats Fun Run is coming to Libby on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Registration will run from 9-11 a.m. on site at East Fork Road. Organizers said the event offers a groomed trail along with plenty of areas to ride off trail. The Fun Run also features a bonfire and free chilidogs.

Participants must be a member of any snowmobile club. To take part in the event, membership fees are $10 per person or $20 per family for the 2008-09 season.

A poker run will also be staged at Treasure Mountain Casino. The cost is $10 for the first poker hand and $5 for the second. Payouts will go to a minimum of the top three places. All poker hands must be turned in no later than 5 p.m. to the fifth station at Treasure Mountain Casino to be eligible for prizes. The event at the casino will also feature a trailer and gun raffle.

To reach East Fork Road, from Libby, take Highway 37 North, cross the Kootenai River Bridge and turn one-eighth of a mile on Pipe Creek Road. Continue for about 18 miles to East Fork Road.

Little Guy Wrestling signups set for Jan. 31

The Libby Wrestling Club plans to hold Little Guy Wrestling signups on Saturday, Jan. 31 in the Libby High School lobby.

The signup session will run from 5-6:30 p.m. Little Guy Wrestling is open to children in kindergarten through the eighth grade. The cost is $25 per wrestler or $40 for a family.

School Board plans work session

The Libby Public Schools’ Board of Trustees will meet for a special work session on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m.

The agenda includes information on Solid Foundations with a report from Claire Hibbs-Cheff. Meetings take place in the Central Administration Building, 724 Louisiana Ave., Libby.

Family game night coming to library

The Libby Public Library will host family game night on Tuesday, Feb. 3 from 6-8 p.m.

A selection of games will be available, including Scrabble, Pictureka!, checkers and cards. Snacks will be provided.
