Libby-Arizona Luncheon is Feb. 17 in Ajo
The 14th annual Libby-Arizona Luncheon will be held from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Ajo Federated Church’s community room located at 101 Lomita Ave. in Ajo, Ariz.
In past years, the event had been held in Yuma. Organizers invite any “snowbirds” in Arizona to join them in Ajo. Those who attend are asked to bring any Libby-related news items that might be of interest as well as a potluck dish to share, their own place settings and beverages of their choice. Coffee will be supplied.

New supplies available at Koats-4-Kids
Koats-4-Kids has several new items available, Pam Peppenger of Kootenai Kiwanis announced.
The nonprofit Koats-4-Kids, located at 1318 Minnesota Ave., in Libby, is open weekdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. New items include coats, boots, mittens and scarves.
Air quality meeting with DEQ is Thursday
The Department of Environmental Quality and representatives from associated agencies will be on hand for an informational meeting about Libby-area air quality issues on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be staged in the Little Theatre in Libby.
KV Trout Club plans Jan. 22 meeting
The Kootenai Valley Trout Club announced it will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 in the Fireside Room at the Venture Inn.
On the agenda will be discussion of the Kootenai River Nutrient Project. New members are welcome.
Archery club waives range, league fees
The Libby Archery Club’s indoor archery shooting range is now open at Lincoln Lanes Bowling Alley.
Club officials said that because of poor economic times, the range and league fees are waived this year. To use the indoor archery range for practice or to participate in the indoor league, which starts Feb. 2, a person must be a member of the archery club, for liability insurance reasons.
Club membership is $10 per year, $5 for youths (12-17 years). Sign up will be Saturday Jan. 24 from noon-2 p.m. at Lincoln Lanes.

Children’s Theatre auditions coming Jan. 26
Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of Robin Hood are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 26 at the Troy High School auditorium.
Performances will be Saturday, Jan. 31 and 3 and 7 p.m.
The production is sponsored by Troy Parks and Recreation and Troy Fine Arts Council.

Benefit planned to help house fire victim
A benefit to help the Lowry family rebuild following a devestating house fire on Jan. 5 is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24.
Planned for the Golden Nugget on Yaak River Road, the benefit begins at 2 p.m. with a pool tournament. A live auction will follow at 4 p.m. and hourly drawings will take place until midnight. There will also be live music, potluck and spaghetti feed.
