Greenchain splits duals vs. Glacier, Whitefish

The Libby High School wrestling squad split a pair of duals on Saturday. The Greenchain handled Northwestern A foe Whitefish, 51-15, and dropped a 58-20 decision to Class AA Glacier.
In the victory over Whitefish, Libby won six matches by pin. At 125 pounds, Kyle Leir pinned Jonathan Reimer in 3:22. At 135, Cody Elliot pinned Steven Vail in 2:25. At 140, Dylan Berget pinned Aaron Burns in 2:46.
After dropping a couple of matches at 145 and 152, the Loggers did well in the upper weights with Kody Berget winning by pin over Geoff Streeter in 4:09 at 160, Justin Graham pinning Derek Crittenden in 1:28 at 215 and Brandin Mills pinning Jacob Washer in 48 seconds at heavyweight.
Tate Wilson had the only Libby victory by decision in the dual with a 5-3 count over Dalton Rice.
The Loggers won 171 and 189 by forfeit.
Against Glacier, Libby won four of the 11 matches that materialized on the mat. Leir took a close 5-4 decision over Shane St. Onge at 130. Later at 160, Kody Berget pinned Tanner Woodland in 5:24. Seth Wright followed at 171 with a 21-3 technical fall victory over Clayton Hamilton. And at 215, Graham pinned John Frandsen in 2:57.
The Wolfpack got 24 points in the dual from forfeits at the four lowest weights.
