LHS boys dump Polson on road

The Libby High School boys basketball team heads into this week’s divisional tournament on a high note following a 21-point victory at Polson.

The Loggers shot out to a 16-4 lead in the opening quarter en route to a 61-40 win on Saturday. Libby finished 7-3 in the Northwestern A and 13-5 overall.

Libby enters divisionals at Glacier High School in Kalispell as the No. 2 seed and receives a first-round bye. The team’s first appearance will occur on Friday at 4 p.m. against the winner of a Thursday game between Polson and Bigfork.

Joel Fuller found the zone in the win over the Pirates. Fuller finished with 28 points to lead the Loggers offensively. Teammates Conner Benson scored 15 and Alex Cislo netted 10.

Tim Rausch and Kyle Bagnell led the Pirates with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Polson enters divisionals with records of 5-5 in the league, 9-9 overall.
