Speech, drama fundraiser coming Feb. 21

The Libby High School speech and drama team’s Community Night fundraiser will be held Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Little Theatre.

Attendees can expect competition performances from the actors – including those performed at state – and surprise pieces throughout.

Libby coach Shelly Fisher said donations are accepted for admission and refreshments.

Libby to host 7-B tournament

The District 7-B boys and girls basketball tournaments will be staged at Libby High School on Friday and Saturday.

“We are continuing to work hard to get events such as these to our community,” the school’s Rik Rewerts said. “We hope that many of you will come and enjoy this MHSA (Montana High School Association event. There will be some fantastic games and our neighbors Troy and Eureka have very good basketball teams this year that we can support.”

The cost per session is $5 for students, $6 for adults. The all-session cost is $10 for students, $16 for adults.

Boys’ games are scheduled for 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday and 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday. Girls’ games are 1 and 6 p.m. Friday and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
