County issues air advisory
The Lincoln County Environmental Health Department issued an air advisory on Friday morning. It is not a air alert but an advisory.
"Our four-hour average as of 9 a.m. is 32, with steadily increasing one-hour averages," the advisory reads. "Our particulate levels have accumulated to a 24-hour average of 27, which is unhealthy for sensitive groups. In this category, it is advisable for active children and adults and those with respiratory diseases to limit prolonged outdoor exertion."
Voluntary use of alternative heating sources could help prevent calling an air alert, officials said.
The status of this air advisory can change at any time. For the latest information, go to the Lincoln County website at: http://www.lincolncountymt.us/ (click on Air Advisory at top of the page).
