Larry A. Shelmerdine

Larry A. Shelmerdine, 43, of Libby died on Dec. 26, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby.

He was born on June 30, 1966 at Libby, the son of Stanley and Carol (Evans) Shelmerdine. He grew up and attended school in Libby.

He worked for the City of Libby and the Alaska Fishing Co. He had worked in 32 different states. He enjoyed being in the woods, picking berries and mushrooms, and camping.

He married Lailah Posey on July 13, 2009 at Carol and Elmer Schmitt’s house in Libby.

He was preceded in death by a brother Stanley.

Survivors include his wife, Lailah Shelmerdine, Libby; children, Izaak Pose of Hampton, Va.; and Joshua and Sarah McGough – both of Libby; father, Stan Shelmerdine of Libby; and mother, Carol Schmitt and husband Elmer of Libby.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby with burial following at the City of Libby Cemetery.
