Wendell Eliot Bragg

Wendell Eliot Bragg, 72, of Libby died Dec. 18, 2009 at his home in Libby from natural causes.

He was born April 19, 1937 in Errol, N.H., to Gordon and Catherine Cameron Bragg. He grew up in the small town of Magalaway, Maine, and attended school there through the eighth grade. He then attended Gould Academy where he graduated with the class of 1957.

Mr. Bragg attended the University of Maine where he earned a bachelor’s degree in science in 1961. He was a member of the ROTC during college and received his commission in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Bragg.

After his honorable discharge, he went to work for International Harvester for 10 years. He moved to British Columbia where he lived for 17 years. While there he worked at a local sawmill.

He married Nancy Bithell in 2003. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed being in the woods, logging, hunting, fishing, helping others and spending time with his family.

His parents and a sister preceded him in death.    

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Libby; children, Donna Jensen of British Columbia and her son, Ryan Corbett and his son, Julian Corbett – both of British Columbia; Beth Nestman and husband Paul of South Jordan, Utah, and their children, Brittaney, Christopher, Trevor, Joshua, Jordan, Samantha and Amanda; Stephanie Guilliford of Menifee, Calif., and her son, Dylan; Donald Bragg and wife Kathy of Norco, Calif., and their children, Cameron, Breanna and Cassie; former wife, Marjorie Bragg, of Meniffee, Calif.; and a brother, Larry Bragg and wife Ann of Magalaway, Maine. 

Services will be announced at a later date.

Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby handled local arrangements.
