The Libby Wrestling Club has been busy over the past several days with trips to Washington for three tournaments.

On Nov. 21, Zach and Cody Crace traveled to Seattle to compete in the Predator World Challenge. The Predator drew 850 wrestlers nationally. Cody Crace, 7, competed well in the 8-and-under division (62 pounds) but came up short of the medal rounds.

Zach Crace, 13, placed seventh with a 2-2 record in the 15-and-under division. He lost a tough match to Post Falls High School freshman Peter Berger and finished one win shy of earning a medal.

On Nov. 22, the Crace brothers competed at the Annihilator Tournament in Tacoma, Wash. Cody Crace won in the championship match in his division with an 8-6 overtime victory over Zyle Blas of the Bethel All-Star team. He pinned two other opponents on his way to the finals.

Zach Crace, competing in the Schoolboy 98-pound division, pinned Trevor Kurtz in the finals. He also had pins in two earlier matches.

On Dec 6, five members of the Libby team traveled to the Big Horn Challenge in Chattaroy Wash. Cody Crace finished second in the Bantam division (60 pounds) with an 11-5 loss to Kyle Anstrom of Central Valley Wrestling Club. He had pinned his three previous opponents on his way to the finals.

Kody Bailey finished first in the Novice division (140 pounds). Isaiah Sickler competed for the first time this year at the Schoolboy division (91 pounds) and finished fourth. Zach Crace again competed at Schoolboy 98 and bested Mitch Barney of Washington with a pin in 2:18. He had four pins on the day. Dylan Berget competed at Cadet 152 and pinned Tanner Smith of Basement Boy Wrestling in 1:26.
