Letter: Troy officer thanks community for support

(Editor’s note: The writer addressed the following letter to the Troy community).

I am not sure where to begin. The support I have received from the community, friends and family has been overwhelming.

The comments on the “Support Bob” Facebook website, letters I have received, countless phone calls, the blue ribbon support and the support walk that took place on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 28), and the support I receive when I go out into the community has been overwhelming. I did not realize I had so much support.

I was informed Thursday, Dec. 3 that I am cleared to return back to work immediately. That was the best news ever.

I am proud to be a City of Troy police officer. Together, we will make Troy a great place to live, raise your children, retire, visit and most of all – a safe and fun place to live.
