Beneva B. Azure

Beneva B. Azure, 87, of Libby, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Libby Care Center.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1922 at Tea, S.D., the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Buus) Bellach. She attended school in Harrisburg, S.D., and also in Sioux Falls, S.D.

She married Clarence Azure in 1961 in South Dakota. They moved to Libby in August 1964. She retired in 1967 after teaching school for more than 30 years.

She enjoyed watching basketball on TV.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Neil and Ernest; and two sisters, Olive and Dorothy.

Survivors include husband, Clarence Azure of Libby; children, Robert Azure and wife, Jody of Kalispell; and Sharon Johnson of Cummings, Ga.; sister, Florence Abbot of Sioux Falls; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Schnackenberg and Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
