Dear Editor:
Since two incumbents are running for two of the three available positions, probably we are looking at three choices for the other opening.
In my opinion, Ellen Parker-Johnston would be an excellent choice. She has several years as a general ed teacher, several years in special ed, and finished the last five years of her career as a principal.
During her formative years, her dad was a 10-year school board member; which should have given her an awareness of the overall system.
Additionally, having only recently returned to the “homeland,” she would be focused more on education issues and less on “local agendas” that we sometimes experience.
Whatever your choice, please make one May 5.
Robert Parker
