The Troy High School volleyball team dropped a nonconference match in Kalispell on Tuesday.

Stillwater Christian took a victory of 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17.

“The girls came ready to play; they were out there moving,” Troy coach Sandra Jansma said. “Our communication just kind of fell short. We need to find that competitive edge right now on our team. The girls know they can do a lot better than they actually are right now.”

Kristin Parks led the Lady Trojans with nine kills and three blocks. As a team, Troy had 31 kills and besides the nine by Parks, Molly Harpole and Ashley Paasch each had seven. To go along with the three blocks by Parks, teammate Ashley Suber had two.

Alyssa Olds had all 20 of the team’s set assists. Paasch led in digs with three. And the Trojans had five ace serves – two each by Olds and Alicia Anderson and one by sophomore Megan Cummings.

Troy is scheduled to play at home on Thursday against conference foe Thompson Falls. Junior varsity action begins at 4:15 p.m., with varsity matches to follow. On Saturday, the Trojans head up to Eureka for another conference match.
