Myrna Ajean (Brock) Nicholls

Myrna Ajean (Brock) Nicholls, 82, of Libby died from natural causes on Saturday Sept. 20, 2008 at the Libby Care Center.

She was born Nov. 8, 1925 in Eureka, Mont., to Albert and Goldie Brock of the West Kootenai. When she was young she worked at a fire lookout for the U.S. Forest Service. She also worked in the shipyards in Oregon for the war effort and in the Christmas tree yard. She owned and operated a rock shop and worked for Rexall drug as a clerk.

She married Bob Nicholls after an engagement that lasted until World War II was over. They made their home in Butte where they had their two daughters Shirley and Bobbi.

They then moved to Libby where she became active with the Eastern Star and the Good Sam Camping Club.

Mrs. Nicholls loved to camp and fish and never forgot their camping trip to Alaska. She loved watching and feeding the deer.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Nicholls of Libby; daughters Shirley Davidson and husband Darold of Bonney Lake, Wash.; Bobbi Jernigan and husband Mike of Lacey, Wash.; grandchildren Clint Davidson and wife Sara, Harley Davidson and wife Crystal, Justin Pierce and wife Shauna, Jason Pierce and wife TJ; sister Marge Marvel and Donna Swanson; and eight great-grandchildren

Services will be Thursday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road in Libby.

Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
