Letter: Reunion appreciates support from locals
Dear Editor:
During the weekend of Aug. 15, the graduating classes of 1967 and 1968 held a combined reunion.
An activity held on Saturday afternoon was a car rally where participants were challenged to follow a course around Libby by deciphering a set of clues located along the way.
In order for the rally members to reacquaint themselves with many of the important locations frequented during our teenage days in the mid-'60s, a variety of current community members were asked to assist in the road rally.
Those folks that completed the mystery course through Libby made many positive remarks about the great adventure that they experienced. It can only be said that this successful rally was entirely dependent on the many wonderful people that so willingly offered their time and facilities along the route.
An apology to anyone not mentioned in the following list of supporters but please note that your assistance was greatly appreciated.
Assisting in the class reunion road rally were Dairy Queen (Bob Marozzo and staff), KLCB Radio (Duane Williams), Lee Gehring Field (Kelly Morford and Dr. Scott Foss), Libby High School (Principal Rik Rewerts), Lincoln County Library (Lynn Zimmerman and staff) and The Western News (Barb Swenson).
It was such a wonderful feeling coming back home to Libby and getting the enthusiastic and dependable support given by everyone.
Your eagerness to provide help in making the memories of years gone by reappear is what makes calling Libby home” so easy.
