Letter: Government knows nothing about economics

| October 24, 2008 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

It's plain to see that many of our representatives in the federal government know nothing about economics. They would rather let thousands of school districts, counties, retirement accounts, car dealers and small businesses go broke rather than try to bail out the economy.

With the high price of fuel, many people cannot keep all their payments up but Nancy Pelosi would not let the House vote on a bill that would have lowered the cost of fuel.

Barrack Obama talks about keeping jobs at home, yet he is for the world's highest corporation tax, which drives companies to go overseas. We would be a lot better off if we could get all the lawyers out of our government and get represented by common people who have common sense.
