Letter: Resident has beef with monthly allotment

| October 3, 2008 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

Greetings from the Socialist Commonwealth and Bolivarian Alternative of Montana. Montana produces lots of beef and exports beef all over the world.

Sen. Max Baucus runs all over the earth peddling this beef for the beef growers of Montana. But when Yvonne and I went to the Troy Food Bank for our monthly allotment of USDA and other food, there was no beef at all.

There wasn’t even a pound of ground-up meat that was not beef. So, I phone Sen. Baucus, Sen. Jon Tester, Rep. Denny Rehberg and Gov. Brian Switzer and complained. What an outrage that one of the greatest growers of beef in the world doesn’t have any beef for Montana’s food banks.

Say, congressmen and governor, stop being puppets of the empire and provide beef for people of Montana to eat and I want beef steaks and beef roasts, too, not just beef hamburger.
