The Semitool plant in Libby saw its work force downsize by three employees last week in response to layoffs announced by the Kalispell-based company.
A story that appeared in the Friday edition erroneously reported that all of the company’s employees had been laid off.
Dean Campbell, Libby plant manager, confirmed Monday that no further layoffs are planned. He said the three that were laid off are considered permanent.
Campbell said employment numbers have fluctuated over the past eight years but have been consistent during the last four.
Semitool utilizes the Libby plant to build sub-assemblies such as robots, computers and electronics for its manufacturing equipment.
