Holly J. Lang, 68, of Libby died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her home in Libby from natural causes.

She was born June 19, 1939 in Orange, Calif. to Henry J. and Helen J. Smith Mortensen.

She grew up in Santa Ana, Calif. and graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1957.

She then attended Chapman College where she earned a four-year teaching degree.

She started her teaching career at Laguna Beach, Calif. where she taught for two years.

She then spent a year in Japan teaching on the Tachakawa Air Force Base.

She married Richard Lang on Aug. 12, 1967 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Santa Ana, Calif.

They started their married life in Kasson, Minn. From there they moved to Dubuque, Iowa. Their first ministry was at Grants Pass, Colo. at the Calvary Lutheran Church.

They lived in Grants Pass until the middle 1980s, when they moved to Salem, Ore. From Salem they lived in numerous place before coming to Libby in January 2007.

Holly enjoyed her grandchildren, scrapbooking and entertaining.

Survivors include her husband Richard of Libby; two children Kristin Camarena and her husband Joseph Jr. of Oakhurst, Calif. and John A. Lang of Seattle; brother Harold J. Mortensen and his wife Cheryl of Myrtle Point, Ore.

Services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Assembly of God Church in Libby.

Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
