Fred B. Metzger

Fred Benjamin Metzger, 89, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was born July 8, 1918 in Brockton, Mont.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Brewington Metzger; sons Ron Metzger and Mark Metzger and his wife Sandy; daughters (twins) Maureen and Marilyn Metzger; grandson John J. Metzger. He is also survived by his sister, Phylis Romo of Bainville, Mont. and step-brother Gorden DeRosia of Bull Head City, Ariz. Preceded in death was a step-brother Robert DeRosia.

He also leaves his loving dog, Charlie.

He grew up in Libby and graduated from Libby High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and returned home to Libby, where he married Geraldine Brewington from Libby in 1947. They moved to Fallbrook, Calif. in 1951.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28 at Berry Bell Mortuary in Fallbrook.
