Lois M. Gruber, 75, of Libby died July 9, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Hospital. She was born on April 21, 1933 at Choteau, Mont., the daughter of Reynolds F. and Thelma M. Cahoon. She grew up in Charlo and graduated with honors from Charlo High School.

Forrest “Fuzzy” Spencer — believed to be one of Libby’s last old-time loggers — died Sunday, June 29, at Libby Care Center from complications due to asbestosis.
