Sexually violent predator coming to Libby soon

A level 3 sexually violent offender will be in Libby for approximately one month due to medical reasons.

John Allen Galloway, 51, informed the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday of his intention to relocate to Libby for the duration of his medical appointments, according to Lincoln County Det. Dean Byrns.

Galloway was convicted of sexual intercourse without consent with a female, according to the Montana Department of Justice Sexual or Violent Offender Registry. Galloway was sentenced on July 4, 1979.

As a level 3 sexually violent predator, Galloway is at a high risk of reoffending.

Galloway will be living at 84 Tamarack Lane in Libby for the duration of the time. He currently lives in Kalispell.

He is 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighs 270 pounds, has fair skin, brown hair and hazel eyes.
