According to Jon England, Junior Varsity Lady Logger coach, all the girls are contributing and starting to click this season.

Their exciting triple overtime battle against the Columbia Falls Wildkats last Friday night in Libby was a tough one to watch them lose, 48-51.

According to England, the Lady Loggers allowed the Wildcats back in the game in the 4th quarter and couldn't clinch the win.

"We had some opportunities to win it in overtime," he said. "Sky Barry really came out and played well for us," said

England, adding Kaila Forster also had a great game.

Evi Cernick led the team with 14 points; LaRona Luscher and Barry contributed 7 points each. Nicole Rios also made 6 points in the game.

In Saturday's game against Ronan, Libby pulled ahead in the second quarter and never looked back, winning 35-17.

"We're getting improved guard play and a lot more quality minutes from our post players," said England. "If we can continue to improve offensively, we will be successful."

Jaime Gilden led with 13 points, while Cernick contributed 10.

Against Troy last Tuesday, the Lady Loggers had a great defensive game, playing different combinations and holding Troy to the single digits, 66-6.

England said it was the strong defense that allowed for much of their scoring.

"We had 11 players in the scoring column," he said. "We continue to shoot better from the free throw line."

Gilden led with 17 points, Erin Baker had 11, and Barry made 8. Cernick and Katie Emery each contributed 6.

The Lady Loggers are currently 3-5.
