Give a Helping Hand a great success

To the Editor:

I'd like to thank everyone who helped us make the "Give a Helping Hand Christmas Program" a success again this year.

I have organized the program for 28 years with a lot of help from the Libby and Troy communities. There are no words to describe the joy on all of the children's faces that we have helped to have a great Christmas throughout the years.

Without the support of the citizens of these two communities, we could not have made the program such a success. I say to all of you who have helped in anyway - THANK YOU!

This year we had 33 families signed up for help, including 77 children. This year we had help as far away as Houston Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada and Hayden Lake, Idaho. Thank you all so much!

I have been asked to organize a program for helping citizens in Troy needing help with heat, medical or food by the donors in Nevada. I am now in the process of doing so. Anyone, working or not with real needs should contact me at P.O. Box 445, Troy, MT. 59935 to apply for assistance. This will be first come first serve.

Applications should have proof of income and circumstances for requesting help. Also your phone number. The funding is small yet but we are hoping to build on this program as we go. Please do not call me about this program unless you wish to donate to the fund. I will only accept applications through the mail.
