Diane E. Spencer

Diane E. Spencer, 61, of Libby died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 at her home in Libby from natural causes.

She was born Nov. 22, 1946 in San Francisco, Calif. She was born to Faye Fisher then soon adopted by her grandparents Floyd L. and Hazel Richmond from central Washington.

After moving to Libby in 1978, She found employment as a teacher with Achievements and found great reward in helping people with real needs.

She devoted her life to helping abused or old animals (especially dogs and cats) find real happiness and companionship.

She also loved to fish and once traveled down the reservoir from Eureka to the Marina in a paddleboat pulling a four-man raft of supplies in eight days.

She leaves behind a husband Phil Spencer from Libby and a son Jon Spencer also from Libby.

Private family services will be held. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
