Robin F. Kovar

Robin F. Kovar, 76, died at his home in Otis Orchards, Wash. on Feb. 20, 2008. He was born in Troy on June 8, 1931 to John and Tressa (Davis) Kovar. He was the oldest of 10 children. He attended school in Troy.

He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1951 and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. After his military service he worked at J. Neils Lumber Company in Troy and for Russell Payne Logging. He moved to Spokane, Wash. and worked at Industrial Park and then at The Davenport Hotel until he retired.

He was an excellent artist and a talented musician. His family treasures his drawings and his guitars. He loved anything and everything about cars.

He enjoyed working on, tinkering with and talking about every automobile made. Robin was dearly loved by all who knew him. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. He was the best big brother anyone ever had.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Christine Eatinger and Susan Bennett; and brothers Martin and George Kovar.

Survivors include a daughter Renee Ford of Pendleton, Ore.; a granddaughter Amanda and grandson Rion; his sisters Stacia Fifield and her husband Glen of Troy, Luella Krebs of Libby, Caroline Guthrie of Spokane, and Linda Lockman and her husband Gordon of Clark Fork, Idaho; brother John Todd and his wife Dani of Liberty Lake, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Cyndi Olson, Tom Carpenter and Sharon Alexander.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Church of God in Troy with Pastor Gene Bushnell officiating. Burial will follow at Troy Cemetery with military honors. Local arrangements are by Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
