KVCS students discover Libby
The Western News
Students at the Kootenai Valley Christian School have been busy as of late learning about the history of the Libby area.
Two students spent the morning searching through newspaper archives researching the Libby Dam.
Seventh-grade student Alanah True and her partner eighth-grade student Amie Henley chose to research the dam because they decided "it would be cool to go more in depth with it," they said.
Each student in Christie Kehn's class have been inquiring on various subjects for the project due in March.
"All the students are doing local Libby history projects," Kehn said.
True and Henley were studying the construction and effort put into the construction of the dam.
"We're looking at how they made it and the manpower that went into it," Henley added.
"There's information on how they had to move towns to build it and when the President came," True continued.
