Lady Trojans beat Trotters by 12

The Troy High School girls basketball team evened its record in District 7-B on Monday night with a double-digit victory over Plains.
Alyssa Olds and Molly Harpole each scored 13 points in the 51-39 win.
The Lady Trojans started to pull away during the second quarter. After the two schools played to a 10-10 deadlock through the first 8 minutes, Troy outscored the visitors by six in the second for a 24-18 lead at the intermission.
The Trojans repeated those numbers in the third for a comfortable 12-point advantage with one quarter to go.
Besides the 13 by Olds and Harpole, Troy also saw Ali Maestas and Alicia Anderson each add seven points.
The game was the 7-B opener for Plains, which falls to 1-4 overall. Emma Ehret led the visitors with 16 points.
Troy goes to 1-1 in the conference and 3-2 overall and will now take a break before heading to Noxon on Jan. 3.
